Its strengths span areas such as artificial intelligence, energy, environment, health, and social transformation. Within this research-rich environment, the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies offers an interdisciplinary program grounded in feminist, queer, and intersectional analysis, emphasizing social justice and real-world impact. This reflects the university’s broader commitment to innovation, critical inquiry, and societal change.

Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) is a government agency under the Ministry of Human Resources, established to drive Malaysia’s talent strategy and enhance the nation’s workforce competitiveness. One of its key initiatives is the Career Comeback Programme (CCP), designed to support women who have taken career breaks of six months or more and wish to re-enter the workforce. TalentCorp also collaborates with state governments, such as Selangor, to implement outreach programmes like Wanita MyWira, aiming to provide grassroots engagement, skills development, and workforce reintegration support for women across various levels.

The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), is the central authority responsible for the country’s public healthcare system, health policy, and medical services. Since its establishment in 1963, MOH has played a critical role in improving population health through accessible, high-quality services and health promotion. Beyond service delivery, the ministry actively supports research and innovation through agencies like the Institute for Public Health and the Clinical Research Centre, which conduct epidemiological studies, clinical trials, and health systems research. MOH also leads initiatives in disease prevention, health education, and emergency response through the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC), ensuring Malaysia is equipped to manage public health challenges. This integrated approach reflects MOH’s commitment to evidence-based policy, healthcare innovation, and continuous improvement in population well-being.
